Knights has added specialists in intellectual property and clinical negligence to its team in Brighton as the business continues to grow in the South East.

Partners Philip Partington and Elise Bevan join the business this week and take the number of new Partners in Brighton to six since the start of 2024.

Intellectual property specialist Philip Partington brings a wealth of knowledge in intellectual property strategy and high value disputes. He joins Knights’ highly-rated, nationwide intellectual property team.

Philip Partington, Partner at Knights, said:

“I am thrilled to join Knights and become part of a team of leading intellectual property lawyers across the country. I am looking forward to helping the team to grow even further.”

Philip’s arrival coincides with the appointment of CL Medilaw Partner, Elise Bevan. Elise is vastly experienced in women’s health and has represented several clients in transvaginal mesh litigation. She also specialises in claims concerning cosmetic treatments, delays in diagnosis of cancer and product liability claims.

Elise Bevan, Partner at Knights, said:

“The strength of our team is already obvious, with specialists across so many areas. It is great to be part of the team.”

The new arrivals add to the comprehensive range of expertise Knights has to offer as the fastest growing regional legal services business in the UK.

Both will be based at the Knights’ Brighton city centre office at Edward Street Quarter – which has proved to be a platform for growth since the business moved in last year. With more Partners ready to join the team in 2024, the office is set to go from strength-to-strength.

Darren Walker, Client Services Director at Knights, said:

We’re really pleased to welcome Elise and Philip to the team. It’s been a very positive week for our team in Brighton following the promotion of Partners Amy Richardson and Eleanor Gadd.

“Coupled with the arrival of Partners Leonard Scudder and Sally Peake in recent months, we have six new Partners in Brighton since the turn of the year. We’re growing and recognising talent – it’s a really exciting time for our team.”

With 23 offices nationwide, Knights is ranked within the top 50 UK law firms by revenue – providing multiple services to business clients alongside premium advisory services to private individuals.
