Berkshire Hathaway company, TTI, Inc., has completed its latest acquisition in the UK of Raffenday Limited, with the support of specialist advisors at Knights.

TTI has built a reputation as a world-leading distributor of specialist electric components – supporting leading manufacturers from its global headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, and employing over 8,000 people at more than 130 locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.

The business’ growth continues with the acquisition of Raffenday, a specialist manufacturer and distributor of low- and high-voltage cable assemblies and interconnect component solutions for the automotive and transportation markets.

Led by Philip Goldsborough and Josh Temple, Knights’ team advised TTI on the acquisition and were supported by a team of specialists from across Knights’ Commercial, Employment and Real Estate teams.

Geoff Breed, vice president of marketing at TTI Europe, said:

“We are delighted to be bringing Raffenday into the TTI Family of IP&E specialists, and excited about working closely with the Raffenday team.

"There are many synergies between our two companies, including shared ideas on core distribution values and a strong focus on quality and customer service, thus making this acquisition a perfect fit.

"The professional support we received from Knights enabled us to get this acquisition completed and I would like to thank their team on behalf of TTI Europe for all the hard work and focus on this project.”

With production and a distribution centre in the UK, alongside facilities in Slovakia, Raffenday’s high-quality, technical resources and value-added services complement TTI’s capabilities.

Raffenday will continue to run independently as part of the TTI Family of Specialists using its 37 years of extensive experience to work alongside the TTI IP&E business to develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.

Josh Temple, Associate at Knights, said:

“We are delighted to have supported TTI on another strategic UK acquisition. It was an absolute pleasure to work together with Geoff and the wider TTI team in Europe and the US and with our own fantastic team of specialists across our office network. We look forward to seeing the Raffenday business succeed as part of the TTI family.”

With 23 offices nationwide, Knights is ranked within the top 50 UK law firms by revenue – and is the largest regional legal and professional services business operating outside London.

The business provides multiple services to business clients alongside premium advisory services to private individuals.
